The LLS Student Series is a service learning, character education and philanthropy program where students gain the unique experience of helping thousands of children and adults in their fight against blood cancers like leukemia. With Student Series, students see firsthand how their involvement can make a difference in helping save the lives of blood cancer patients simply by fundraising.
Why Participate?
Service Learning
There are programs available for each grade level that incorporate the philanthropic program with curriculum areas such as Art, Math, Science, Social Studies and Language Arts. Please look at our Service Learning Programs section to learn more.
Character Education
By participating, not only will kids learn about making an impact, but about leadership, teamwork, philanthropy and what "doing good" for others can mean. As children move through their years at school, they can grow with the Student Series and have an even greater impact on the lives of patients.
Philanthropy
The core program consists of collecting money over a 3 week period. To further engage the students, there are supplemental fun fundraising ideas that your school can do to make your program even more successful.
